Aquastore® tanks have long been known for their factory applied glass-fused-to-steel coating system which does not require future re-coating.

The tank panel edges feature the CST Storage exclusive EDGECOAT™ process which mechanically rounds the edges then flame coats the edge with stainless steel prior to glass coating. The glass coating is graffiti-proof and does not fade. The proprietary glass formulation contains cobalt oxide which chemically bonds to the inside and outside of the steel panels when fired in a furnace at 1600ºF. The bond strength of the silica glass finish has been found to be more than 10 times greater than other factory or field applied epoxy paint coatings.

The interior of all Aquastore® potable water tanks feature a special white glass coating that has been enhanced with titanium dioxide to add even greater toughness to the glass.

Aquastore® tanks are erected from the top down using a specialized jacking system. This building method is quick, efficient and it also allows the tanks to be expanded vertically in the future.

The lightweight aluminum dome roof is manufactured by CST Covers. An aluminum dome is included on tanks over 31' diameter and is a free-span design.

Composite - Elevated Aquastore® Water Tanks

Developed exclusively by Mid Atlantic Storage Systems, Inc., the Aquastore® Composite Elevated Tank brings municipal and commercial users the IDEAL tank system for potable water and fire suppression water storage.

Combining the jump-formed concrete pedestal with a glass-fused-to-steel Aquastore® tank provides a complete storage system that requires no future coating maintenance. The space within the pedestal is accessed through a 10' x 10' roll-up door or conventional personnel door affording the owner plenty of space to store materials and equipment.

The access ladder to the top circumferential walkway is located on the inside of the pedestal creating a more secure, no-wind climbing environment. In many locations, water tanks are vulnerable to graffiti and vandalism. Our concrete pedestal is a major deterrent to vandals. The access ladder, intake piping, overflow, even a pump station and telemetry equipment can be housed inside the pedestal and a security door is the only method of access to the interior of the column and the tank.
